Federal Dental Program
Canadian Dental Care Program (CDCP)
The Canadian Dental Care Program (CDCP) provides dental care coverage for Canadians without access to dental insurance and with a family income below a certain threshold.
Eligibility:
- Must live in Canada and be recognized as a resident by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
- You may qualify if covered under a provincial, territorial, or federal social program (e.g., Quebec’s basic dental program for kids or Non-Insured Health Benefits).
- Income Thresholds:
• < $70,000: 100% coverage
• $70,000–$79,999: 60% coverage
• $80,000–$89,999: 40% coverage
• ≥ $90,000: Not eligible
Covered Services:
- Diagnostic & Preventive Care (cleanings, check-ups, X-rays, etc.)
- Restorative Services (fillings, crowns, etc.)
- Oral Surgery (such as extractions)
- Anesthesia/Sedation Services (various levels, some requiring pre-authorization)
Note : Not all services are covered. Some have limits or require pre-approval, and providers must be enrolled in the CDCP.
